Director of Monterey Adult School

Mr. Crawford is currently the principal of the Monterey Adult School and MPUSD Educational Options programs which include Central Coast High School, Community Day Middle and High School, Independent Study, and Home and Hospital. These programs are all located in the City of Seaside.



Mr. Crawford has been with the district for five years. Prior to becoming the Educational Options leader, he was the Assistant Principal at Monterey High School for two years. He also served as the Assistant Principal at Marina High for one year and a Career Counselor at Central Coast High School for the year prior. He has teaching experience in High School English, Middle School English, and Adult ESL. He is inspired by adults who choose to further their education despite the complexities and obstacles in day to day life.


Ms. Serina Eichelberger, Assistant Principal

Serina Eichelberger is the Assistant Principal of Monterey Adult School.  She comes to Monterey Peninsula Unified School District with over 15 years of experience as an educator and with a passion for empowerment through education.  Most recently she has been the Science Curriculum Specialist and Instructional Coach for a network of charter schools in East San Jose.  Serina has a bilingual teaching credential in Biology, Introductory Science and Spanish, and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz.  While not advocating for educational equity, Serina enjoys days at the beach with her family, sporting events and live music.
